What is Root-Cause Therapy?

Root Cause Therapy (RCT) is a leading edge modality that works directly with the subconscious mind to get to the root of an issue or problem, to identify and heal your outdated belief systems.

A trauma healing method which uses regression to allow the completion of unprocessed emotions which are still presently causing unwanted thoughts, behaviors and symptoms.

How does it work?

With advanced ways of testing and discovering the actual causation of the currently presenting unease within one self, which could be reflecting itself through negative life patterns and choices.

A practitioner facilitates the client to tap into the self healing mechanisms of the deeper parts of their mind in an empowering safe container. Assumptions and theories are no longer necessary as we create a way for the mind and body to consciously access and reassess from a clearer perspective, whether this be in the past or negative projections into the future.

What you can expect!

Each session with an RCT therapist is structured in such a way that they can help prioritize and work through life-long symptoms and past hurts in a gentle yet thorough way.

Once we discover your unique beliefs, we can then release the trapped emotions that were unable to be processed at the time the beliefs were formed.

This incredible healing method was created by Melissa Hiemann and Ryan Hassan, from The Center For Healing in Melbourne, and is a culmination of years of refining and taking the best from many healing modalities such as talk therapy, gestalt therapy, kinesiology, regression, NLP, relaxation and more. Ryan’s own story of recovery from Meth addiction to co-founder of The Center For Healing using RCT, is nothing short of inspirational, and that was the catalyst to refine the method and make it what it is today.

Root Cause Therapy is exciting in its unique approach to healing, as it enables you to consciously tap into past trapped emotions that your mind and body may still be holding. This is what has created your limiting beliefs, triggers and unhelpful coping mechanisms, and can prevent you from living the life you envision.

It’s time to start going deeper to heal the cause, rather than just managing the symptoms.

The first part of your session involves talking about what’s important to you and what you most want to get out of your time with me. We will look a little deeper into your emotions and discuss any events, traumas and anything else that is currently coming up for you.

I use kinesiology (muscle testing) to check through which core beliefs are having an impact on your well being. The reason we use muscle testing is to override the conscious brain, or thinking part of the mind which will not give a true answer, as beliefs are held unconsciously and run in the background your life, impacting your decisions, behaviors and thought patterns.

Once we can see what your limiting beliefs are… we can begin the final part of the session, which is called timeline (or regression). At this point I will get you to simply close your eyes and take you through a quick relaxation exercise to make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed.

This is not hypnotherapy. In fact, the power of RCT is that it uncovers what is happening beneath the surface, for you to become aware of it consciously. This is an opportunity for you to identify how your core beliefs were formed, and how they continue to impact your everyday life, within a safe and comfortable framework.

Some examples of common core beliefs are;

  • I am alone

  • I am not good enough

  • I fear judgement

  • Life is hard

I will guide you into the past of your timeline so you can identify how a particular event has influenced your subconscious mind. You may not have any conscious memory of some events, since many of our beliefs are formed before the age of 7, but your unconscious mind has taken everything in throughout your life and stored it, along with the associated emotions.

It is here that you can release these emotions, and as you are fully conscious, you will have the opportunity to gain any learnings from the event.

By going back into the event, you may be wondering if you will re-live trauma, but it is no more stressful than what you live with in your every day life, each time that trauma gets triggered. The only difference is that this time we get to heal it.

Once you heal a core belief, any other connecting beliefs associated with it will fall away, and often multiple beliefs are healed in one session.

As your therapist it is my job to help and guide you safely through the entire process and make it as comfortable as possible for you. Your long-term healing is my greatest concern and I will be there every step of the way for you, including follow up conversations that may be needed between sessions.
